Keeping them going

Fills & rebalances

Most sets want a fill every 2 to 3 weeks. Booking on time is cheaper than starting over, and much easier on your natural nails.

Planning ahead

How long each option lasts

Every service includes cuticle work, shaping and prep before any color goes on. That prep is most of what decides whether a set makes it to week three, so none of it gets skipped to save time.

Typical wear before you are due back. Your own nails, and what your hands do all day, move these numbers.

Typical wear by service, with what brings you back and who each option suits.
Service Typical wear What brings you back Best for
Gel Manicure 2 to 3 weeks Grow-out at the cuticle line Healthy natural nails, everyday color
Structured Gel Manicure 2 to 3 weeks A fill to rebalance the apex Nails that bend, peel or snap
Hard Gel Overlay 2 to 3 weeks A fill; the toughest of the three Hands that work hard
Gel-X Extensions 2 to 3 weeks A fill, or a fresh set for a new shape Real added length and a chosen shape

What actually moves those numbers

Two people can walk out with the same set and get very different mileage from it. Most of the difference comes down to a short list:

  • How fast your nails grow. Faster growth means a visible gap at the cuticle sooner, even when the product is perfectly intact.
  • What your hands do all day. Dishes, cleaning products, gardening and hot water all work at the seal along the edges.
  • Whether you use cuticle oil. Cuticle oil keeps the natural nail flexible, so it bends with the product instead of lifting away from it.
  • Whether you rebook on time. Past about three weeks the grow-out gets long enough to catch on things, and a catch is what turns a fill into a repair.

Booking the fill before anything lifts is the single cheapest thing you can do. It costs $68 instead of a new set, and it is far easier on your natural nails than starting over. There is more on making a set last on the visit page.

Removals

Taking it off, safely

Please don’t peel them off. Add the right removal to your booking and your natural nails stay intact.

Not sure?

Which service should you book?

  • Your natural nails are strong and you just want color → Gel Manicure ($50).
  • Your nails bend, peel or break at the free edge → Structured Gel Manicure ($65).
  • You’re hard on your hands and want the toughest option → Hard Gel Overlay ($65).
  • You want real length or a specific shape → Gel-X Extensions ($75).
  • You already have a set from me and it’s been 2 to 3 weeks → the matching fill ($68).
  • You still have product on from another salon → add Gel Removal ($15) to whatever you book.

Still stuck? Book the Gel Manicure and message me through Booksy. I’ll tell you honestly if a different service fits better and swap it before your appointment.
