Manicures in Albuquerque
A manicure with me is an hour-plus in one chair, with nobody rushing you out. Proper cuticle work, a shape that suits your hands, and gel color that’s still there in week three.
Two manicures, depending on your nails
Both are done on your own nails, no tips or extensions. The difference is how much support they give.
Want length instead? That’s Gel-X, and it’s covered on the gel nails page.
What happens in the chair
-
We talk about what you want
Shape, length, color, and whatever’s on your camera roll. If your nails need structured gel instead of a plain gel manicure, I’ll tell you, and we can switch right there.
-
Cuticles and prep
This is the part that decides whether your manicure lasts, so it never gets rushed. Cuticle work, then filing and shaping to the shape we picked.
-
Gel goes on
Color for a Gel Manicure, or the built-up apex and then color for structured gel. Every layer is cured under the lamp, so you leave fully dry. No smudges in the car.
-
Art, if you want it
Chrome, cat eye, a French with a twist, tiny hand-painted details. Send the inspo ahead on Instagram so I can save time for it.

Keeping your manicure fresh
- Cuticle oil every day. It keeps your nail flexible, so the gel bends with it instead of lifting.
- Gloves for dishes. Hot water and cleaning products are what wear down the edges first.
- Don’t pick. If something lifts, message me. Picking pulls layers of your natural nail off with the gel.
- Rebook before it grows out. Around three weeks for a Gel Manicure, four to five for structured gel.
The full aftercare list is on the Visit & FAQ page.
Manicure questions
How long does a manicure take at NailsByAsh?
A Gel Manicure takes about 1 hour 15 minutes and a Structured Gel Manicure about 1 hour 30 minutes. Detailed nail art can add time, so send me your inspo ahead and I’ll make sure the slot is long enough.
How much is a manicure in Albuquerque at NailsByAsh?
A Gel Manicure is $50 and a Structured Gel Manicure is $65. The price you see is the price you pay.
Can a manicure help nails that keep breaking?
Yes, that’s what the Structured Gel Manicure is for. The gel is built into an apex across your natural nail, which supports thin or bendy nails so they stop snapping at the tip while they grow out.
Can I walk in for a manicure?
Yes, walk-ins are welcome when I have an opening. Booking ahead on Booksy is still the surest way to get the day and time you want.
